Profession vs a Job

The other day, i went to this mid life conversion programme seminar with PK. The talk is about encouraging mid life career switch to health care industry. You need to have a passion to serve people to be working in this industry. I am not a particularly caring person, i was just accompanying my friend to the talk. :p

The seminar was boring except for a few speakers who made their presentation interesting and captivating. One thing that strike me was the differences between a profession and a job. Profession is what you do and improve on it as you move on while a job is just an 8 hours task. Of course it is real lucky for you if you are in a profession and not many are able to be in a profession, just like doing what we love to versus doing what we have to in order to survive.
