3 meals is lawful, 5 meals allowable

Doctor introduces weight-loss diet of 5 meals per day

TAIPEI, Taiwan - A doctor has introduced a weight-loss program that consists of five meals a day, local media reported yesterday.
The doctor, Yang Ming-chuan, came up with a "five-five" program, which includes five meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon snacks and mid-night snacks that are eaten two to three hours before bedtime - with the calories of each meal limited to being under five times an individuals weight.

In addition to calorie contents, Yang also emphasized the importance of good nutrition, said the Central News Agency (CNA).
