Attended a seminar last night and thought would like to share some pointers offered in the seminar.
1. Ask yourself " What is the meaning of work to you". our perception will affect the answer, if your perception changes, the answer to the above question will differ too
2. Stop comparing and complaining, start by appreciating what you have
3. Job does not and will not entail your happiness
4. In the organisation, we are needed by our boss, colleagues to guide, help and lead us. We need each other. It is diffcult to function alone.
5. We must be positive, feel gratitude and proactive. This is a good influence and believe it or not, we will improve our working environment and conditions. No one like to be around negative people.
6. All jobs have up and down, we won't be forever busy or idle. Most important be at the current moment, enjoy it, that include enjoying the bad things too.
7. We tend to focus too much on our faults, we forget our goodness, this will make u feel negative and stuck. Get out from the "fault finding" mind. Release the "stuck" feelings
8.Reckon that all bad things will pass, happiness will be here, but remember that will also pass
9. Problems and issues help you to grow and learn from experience. Welcome them but don't invite them
10.Feel overload? Just concentrate on the task at hand 100%, once complete means complete. Let it go.
11.We are not perfect and we do have limitations. Forgive our self. Mentally or physically stress? REST immediately
12.Don react immediately, let time tell the truth. When you are angry, calm yourself first then react
13.Give and take, there will be times when you need to "take", so while others are taking you for granted, just remind yourself that you are "giving" now. There will be times that i will "take back"
14. Felt being taken for granted or not being recognise for our effort? Do not let other determine our self worth. Most important, we deliver our 100% and conscience is clear
15.Don't follow society standards or other people dreams. Each of us are different and the things we go after will be different
16.Don't postpone happiness, cause you won't know if you'll be alive in the next moment. RELAX!
17.When to call it a quit? if you quit just to avoid, then is not the right time. Leave with a clear conscience and heart, so that we don carry the emotional baggage to the next job
18.Build rapport, communicate with colleagues and bosses, they are humans after all. Don't make each other life miserable
Change perceptions, life ahead be much easier. Life is like a bitter pill, try to make it more bearable...
